Officers Keith Bland and Ryan Halo pulled over the 2006 Jeep Cherokee in the Garden State Plaza parking lot Saturday night and questioned the four occupants, all Paterson residents, Detective Capt. Robert M. Guidetti said tonight.

Shamir Thompson, a 19-year-old passenger, was carrying eight envelopes of the heroin, Guidetti said. He also “kicked the rear driver side [police car] door numerous times causing damage to the door by bending the door frame,” the captain added.

Thompson (above, second from right) was being held on $15,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with resisting arrest, drug possession and criminal mischief.

Police released the other three:

The driver, Brittany Reed, 23 (above, left), who was charged with possession of the stolen car and of marijuana;

Passengers Kiara Hargrove (far right) and Zantasia Johnson, both 22, were charged with marijuana possession.
