By the time they were through, they had identified a half-dozen students with whom he had “inappropriate sexual conversations, both personally and through electronic means with the students, displaying inappropriate images to the students and having direct inappropriate sexual contact with one female student,” the prosecutor said.
The prosecutor’s computer crimes unit amassed the electronic communications, which apparently had continued right up until before his arrest on May 12. He was bailed out two days later. (See: Cops: Teacher had sex chats with teens)
Then came new allegations involving two more Ramsey High School teens, who said the crimes occurred while he volunteered as an assistant band instructor, Molinelli said.
Jerinsky, of Suffern, N.Y., is charged with five total counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact, six counts of endangerment and the single obscenity count involving a minor. He was ordered held on $50,000 bail at the Bergen County Jail by Municipal Court Judge Joseph Rotolo, who also said Jerinksky cannot contact the victims.
If any other teens are involved, Molinelli asked that they or their parents contact either the Ramsey Police Department at 201.327.2400 or the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit at 201. 226-5620.
