The community event has grown to now include donations from more than 50 families, including five racks of clothing and 22 tables of items, plus furniture, jewelry and more.

Rosemarie D’Alessandro and her family donate all of the proceeds from these events to help promote child safety, advance victims’ rights and care for abused and neglected youngsters.

Youngsters from the Father English Center in Paterson and Passaic, which the foundation helps, are contributing. Besides a raffle and baked goods for sale, the D’Alessandros will have live music.

Oh, and don’t be afraid to bring new and used items that can be sold — yet another way to donate.

WHERE: The D’Alessandro home, 45 Florence St., off Clinton Avenue, Hillsdale (see map)

WHEN
: Sat., May 21 and Sun., May 22, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Foundation is named after 7-year-old Joan D’Alessandro, who went to deliver two boxes of Girl Scout cookies to a neighbor across the street in April 1973 and never came back. Her body was found that weekend, on Easter Sunday, in Harriman State Park.
