The amateur video, besides going viral online, has become a piece of evidence for New Jersey State Police.
“Detectives are still sorting things out,” an NJSP sergeant told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon, updating a morning report.
He said he couldn’t comment yet in any way on the incident, including a CLIFFVIEW PILOT report that authorities have identified the man who threw the punch and others involved in the brawl, which witnesses said began inside the stadium.

The punch, by a Jets fan wearing a Wayne Chrebet jersey and team Zubaz camouflage pants, knocked the blond-haired woman back but not down. Witnesses said the trouble began inside and continued as fans were leaving, with one woman grabbing the man who threw the punch and another hitting him (as seen in the video below).
A 35-second cellphone clip taken by a man named Robert Litall was posted on deadspin.com.
“It obviously doesn’t show everything that happened,” someone who commented on Facebook said last night.
“Fight started in the stands with two girls fighting. And moved out to where I shot the video,” ” the person who sent the video to deadspin.com wrote. “Beer was thrown and clothing over the balcony. Security went after the guy. Didn’t see what happened after that.”
