Elmwood Park police rescue heroin overdose victim in laundry bathroom

SHOUT OUTS: Elmwood Park police needed three doses but made a Narcan save of a 42-year-old Wayne man who’d overdosed on four bags of heroin in a landromat bathroom last night.

Responding Officers Francesca Rodriguez, Michael Ingrasselino and Keith Hartmann found the victim slumped over on the restroom floor at Bubbles Laundromat on Broadway around 8 p.m., Police Chief Michael Foligno told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

“He was not responsive and displayed very shallow breathing,” Foligno said, adding that officers found a hypodermic syringe on the floor.

The victim was taken to St Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson.
