The officers also recovered the charger for the radios, taken on April 11 after a break-in at Defender Fire Company #4 on Boulevard, when they arrested 44-year-old Richard Izzo last night.
Izzo, who has extensive criminal history stretching back decades in various towns — including arrests for assault, threats, lewdness — went into the firehouse through a window, Elmwood Park Lt. Bryan DiPasquale told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
The Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification processed the scene, found fingerprints and matched them to Izzo’s, DiPasquale said.
Detectives Thomas Kochis and Robert Centkowski worked the case along with Patrol Sgt. Michael Kassai and arrested Izzo in Paterson.
