The particular corporation’s principals, who asked that the Maynard Drive company’s name be withheld, said the call came in just after 3 in the afternoon on Wednesday.

Park Ridge police immediately searched the complex and found no cause for concern, said Chief Joseph Madden.

With help from local police, officers from Park Ridge went to Ronald C. Fries’ home in Hawthorne and arrested him, the chief said.

They eventually charged him with making terroristic threats and causing a false public alarm. Fries, a 40-year-old machinist, is being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

Several businesses lease space in the corporate office park on Maynard Drive.
