“Tough Justice” is hosted by Donna Roman Hernandez, also a former police captain who will join Sondej at the 3rd Annual Berkeley College National Security Forum next Friday at Berkeley College in Woodland Park.
The event is free, but registration is required.
Sondej, who was a police officer in South Brunswick for 25 years before retiring in 2013, is a professor in the Justice Studies Department at Berkeley College, teaching all aspects of professional security.
"A strong believer in the co-equal roles of the community and police, he was the architect of a number of community policing programs," the school said in a release.
