A show at Maxwell’s tonight?

Maxwell’s may not have seen — er, heard — its last performance.

Over in Sinatra Park, just down the road from Maxwell’s, Swingadelic is scheduled to perform tonight.

However:

“In case of rain, the performance will take place at Maxwells,” says Geri Fallo, Hoboken’s administrator of cultural affairs. “Yes, we said Maxwells.”

The iconic club held a series of emotional closing shows leading up to a July 31 finale featuring the Bongos and the Individuals, along with a host of special guest performers (SEE: Maxwell’s in Hoboken closing after 35 years the way it began).

No one expected another performance after that.

Tonight’s show, wherever it’s held, is on for 7 – 9 p.m., Fallo says.
