Three ambulances and two rescue units were requested at milepost 162.1, north of Route 4 and south of Century Road after the SUV collided with a 2011 Toyota Corolla driven by a 23-year-old Saddle Brook woman around 9:15 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Adam Grossman said.
The car then collided with a 2000 Chevy Blazer, sending both vehicles into the median and the SUV onto its roof, he said.
Two passengers in the Blazer, both from Paterson, were critically injured, Grossman said.
The southbound Parkway was closed for several hours as a result.
