North Haledon Boy Struck By Tree Remembered As Sweet, Loving

NORTH HALEDON, N.J. — More than $7,400 had been raised as of Monday evening on a GoFundMe for the family of the 4-year-old North Haledon boy who on Saturday was struck by a falling tree and died.

Owen Kleiwerda, who attended Milestones Child Care Academy, was riding his electric car around his neighborhood when the incident occurred.

"Owen Kleiwerda was a sweet, beautiful and lovable child who's life ended too soon," the page says.

"Our hearts are broken after this sudden and tragic loss. We are praying for his family and hope that they find healing and peace within their hearts."
