NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- Cornelius De Block of North Haledon died on Dec. 10. He was 78.
Born in Paterson, he lived in North Haledon since 1979. A graduate of Tusculum College in Tennessee, he was an accountant/sales planner in the textile industry for Galey & Lord Associates in New York City. He also had his real estate license and worked for Weichert Realty.
He is survived by his wife, Francine De Block (nee Lizzi); children, Neil De Block and his wife Lori and Francis Scott De Block; grandchildren, Angelina and Mark; and sisters, Judith Vander Sluys and Carol Wright.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10065.
