A New Jersey native with a powerhouse research résumé is stepping onto the "Jeopardy!" stage — and she’s got her sights set on dethroning a four-time champion.

Neha Narayan, a West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North grad (Class of 2020) and current Brown University senior, will face off Thursday, March 27 against Josh Weikert, a four-day Jeopardy! winner and politics professor from Pennsylvania with $59,202 in winnings under his belt. The third contestant is David Weir, a retired court administrator from Palm Springs, CA.

Narayan’s background includes research stints at MIT and Brown’s School of Public Health, where she’s worked on everything from logistic regression models to healthcare access studies and statistical shape analysis of brain scans. She’s also served as a teaching assistant for massive undergrad courses, helping hundreds of students at once.

On Thursday’s episode, Narayan will bring her academic edge to the buzzer against Weikert, whose cool, steady performance has kept him winning across four nights.
