The 6th Avenue resident filled his lawn with 30 inches of snow on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.
Jannicelli, 49, works at the Campgaw ski area in Mahwah during the winter and owns a landscaping business.
He retrofitted his own snow-making gun with the help of a friend last year.
The secret to snowmaking is water, cold and air pressure, he said.
"The pressure coming out of these guns is phenomenal," he said.
It's the same stuff people ski on, he added.
Jannicelli's son Michael is a sixth-grader at Lincoln Middle School and loves making snow with his dad. He wants to be a meteorologist some day, he said..
When the conditions are right, the snow gun can crank out an inch of snow per hour.
Today will end up being a little warmer than the preferred 35-degree snow-making weather.
With highs today expected at 47 degrees and warmer as the week continues, it's not likely Jannicelli's snow will hang around too long.
