Prostitution Charges Cleared For Florida Student Who Had ID Stolen By Sister

A Florida woman trying to become a teacher has found herself in an identity theft nightmare created by her sister who used her identity in trying to avoid a Paterson prostitution fine.

Jaclyn Humienny, 20, is being forced to come to New Jersey to prove her innocence after her 24-year-old sister, Samantha Humienny, used her ID last November in a prostitution-related charge, authorities said.

Jaclyn knew something was up when she received a notice from Paterson municipal court saying she owed $533 in fines -- and threatened a warrant for her arrest, she told ABC7. She has tried calling Paterson police several times to clear the charge, but they told her the matter was in the hands of the courts.

"Having a potential criminal record could literally ruin my future career as a teacher," Jaclyn said.

Although Paterson police director Jerry Speziale said there was not enough evidence to drop the charge against Jaclyn, Municipal Court Judge Giuseppe Randazzo on Tuesday dismissed the pending criminal charges against Jaclyn, the New York Post reports.
