Griles was suspended, along with his top assistant coach on Monday, following an NJ Advance Media report that he had international players living in his house. The New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency opened an investigation into the matter, NJ.com says.

Paterson Eastside is 14-2 this season and in first place (9-0) in the conference.

Bacote, a Paterson native who played for Bloomfield College women's basketball team until 2013, will serve in the top spot for the remainder of the year and will be assisted by Roger Sangster, NJ.com said.
