PATERSON, N.J. — St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson sent letters to past heart surgery patients that infected equipment may cause health complications or even death, New Jersey News 12 reports.
Center for Disease Control and Prevention said the non-tuberculosis Mycobacterium infection caused 28 deaths nationwide.
