More than $16,000 had been raised by Wednesday afternoon via a GoFundMe page created for Danny Listmeier.
“He has bleeding on the brain and many other injuries,” his cousin Erin Saba wrote on the page. “Along with prayers and positive thoughts, we are seeking donations for future medical bills and/or expenses that he will endure.”
“He is going to have a long road to recovery but he is a strong person and we are confident he will fight to get well,” she wrote.
One donor, Andrew Burns, called Listmeier "a perfect friend" and "just an incredibly good person."
