After 12 weeks of training with Hale, the woman not only lost weight and inches, but she was also sporting a bikini comfortably.
"To be able to pursue a career that changes the lives of other people in such a positive way is truly a blessing," said Hale, who specializes in working with women whose bodies have experienced hormonal changes.
Hale was drawn to fitness at a young age for its dramatic, life-changing ability more than two decades ago.
He says mature women have limited local fitness options tailored to their specific needs and few success stories to look toward for inspiration. But his approach is unique, and his client list includes postpartum, premenopausal and menopausal women.
“When I started, I was in my late 50s and had chronic low back pain with a family history of osteoporosis," said Karin, one of Hale's clients. "I was also over weight and tired a lot."
"Now I am at my ideal weight. My back rarely bothers me. Recent X-rays showed my spinal alignment and curves have come back to almost perfect position and there is absolutely no sign of osteoporosis," she said.
Karin's chiropractor attributes her success to her core workouts and strength training.
Making an appointment with a personal trainer makes people 70 percent more likely to work out, as opposed to working out on your own, Hale says.
Hale brings equipment needed to client's homes, a great option for women who prefer not to work out in an open gym setting, he says.
