The shooting happened around 5:05 p.m., near 12th Avenue and East 24th Street, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, officials said. He was rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The man’s name has not yet been released. The investigation is active and ongoing, the prosecutor’s office said.
