The 7th Avenue pizzeria is being featured on Emmy Award-winner Christine Sloan's Fios1 segment "Restaurant Hunters," which seeks the best eateries in New Jersey.

Patsy Barbarulo opened the tavern with his wife in 1931 on the first floor of their apartment building.

They've since passed on, but their grandsons Stephen and Gary Barbarulo run the still-popular restaurant, which won Daily Voice's DVlicious Pizza Contest in 2017.

The secret to Patsy's famous pizza that keeps generations coming back for more is in the crust -- baked in two two separate ovens, originals from 1931. It's slightly flipped up on the sides but extra thin and crunchy with a light buttery taste.

"It still tastes the same way it always has," customer Tagliabue Zambelli said.

"I grew up at the best time in the best place with the best music. People always come back."

Tune into "Restaurant Hunters" Thursday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m.
