Looking For Work? New Clifton Food Market Needs Help

CLIFTON, N.J.  -- Botany Village residents in Clifton will soon have a new supermarket to replace the Pathmark that closed two years ago.

Ideal Food Basket, part of America's Food Basket chain, is planning to open by month-end at 85 Ackerman Ave.

The owners want to work with the community and are having a recruitment fair on Wednesday, March 22 from 1-5 p.m.and Thursday, March 23 from 3-7 p.m.

This is the chain's first store in New Jersey. 

America’s Food Basket is a northeast cooperative for independent retailers. 

It operates under the banner of America’s Food Basket, Ideal Food Basket and Superfi Emporium in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. 

The Clifton store is owned and operated by partners David Vargas, Enrique Abinader and Jose Ramos.
