Bergen County Bottle King Employee Hospitalized After Chasing Down Shoplifter Halloween Night

A Bergen County Bottle King employee was hospitalized with injuries suffered while trying to chase down a shoplifter Thursday night, Oct. 31, Daily Voice has learned.

Police were trying to determine exactly how the employee of the Glen Rock store on Prospect Street was injured — he may have tripped and fallen, or have been struck by a car sometime around 7:30 p.m., incident reporter Boyd A. Loving said.

He was ultimately taken to The Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
