Kimberly Lovenberg, 40, was following too closely while speeding away in a Honda Civic from the parking lot of Eagle Rock Village Apartments in Mount Olive just before 11:30 a.m. on July 8, police said.
Lovenberg, of Morris Plains, was stopped after a concerned citizen contacted police to report a suspected drug transaction, authorities said.
In addition to observing various denominations of currency, officers saw a large bag of marijuana in the front seat, police said.
A search of Lovenberg’s vehicle turned up various prescription pills without a prescription, more than an ounce of marijuana and a scale, police said.
Lovenberg was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Xanax, possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute Amphetamine, possession of Xanax, possession of Oxycodone, possession of Amphetamine, possession of Marijuana over one ounce, careless driving and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
She was released pending an appearance in court.
