The results, which were selected by voters in February, counted, and revealed by the outlet in October — are divided into restaurants in North, Central and South Jersey.
While the outlet says it typically includes food critics’ top picks as well, they were omitted this year due to travel and pandemic restrictions.
First, Arthur’s Tavern in Morris Plains — previously praised for its hearty chili and perfectly grilled steaks — was voted to have the best burgers in North Jersey.
In the Chinese cuisine category, Hunan Taste in Denville was the top North Jersey locale.
Meanwhile, Parsippany’s Gourmet Cafe swept away the competition in the list’s Italian section and A Taste of Asia in Chatham was the top Southeast Asian/Thai restaurant.
H2Ocean in Cedar Knolls was cited for its selection of seafood while Southern fare was dominated by Morristown staple Sandi’s Soul Food.
Finally, Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen in Morristown — which recently made headlines after the owner decided to require customers dining indoors to show proof that they’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 — was voted as having North Jersey’s top wine list for 2021.
