Person Shot, Suspect Apprehended: Newark PD
A suspect has been apprehended after a man was shot in Newark on the evening of Friday, Aug. 9, authorities said. At 6:32 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of North 9th Street and a found a man who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he is in stable condition, Fragé said. During their investigation, police located an adult male suspect and recovered a weapon in the area, Fragé said.

Man Stabbed In Hoboken: Authorities
A man was hospitalized after he was stabbed in Hoboken on the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 4, authorities said. At 12:30 a.m., police responded to the 400 block on Harrison Street on a report of a stabbing, a spokeswoman for the city said. One man was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but was released, authorities said. Anyone with information is asked to call 201-420-2100 ext. 3127.

Knife-Throwing Man Spits On Woman In Bayonne, Police Say
A 24-year-old Bayonne man was arrested and hit with numerous charges on the morning of Tuesday, July 30. after he threw a rock at a man and uttered a derogatory comment about Muslims to a woman, authorities said. At 7:35 a.m., at 10th Street and Broadway, Moustafa Nossier threw a rock at one of the victims and threatened him with a knife, Bayonne police said in a release. A 22-year-old Jersey City man faces up to 30 years in prison after he was recently convicted of an armed carjacking and robbery that occurred in 2022, authorities said. An attempted car burglary by a serial thief was stopped in Verona during the overnight hours of Friday, July 26, authorities said. At 3:02 a.m., officers were on patrol when they noticed an interior light on in a driveway on Woodland Avenue, Verona police said in a release. Man Sexually Assaulted Co-Worker: Secaucus PD
A 48-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 24 with sexually assaulting a co-worker in Secaucus in May, authorities said. On Friday, May 3, Christopher White sexually assaulted his co-worker in the back of their truck at a business location on Enterprise Avenue, Secaucus police said.
