Vernon Woman Falsely Claimed Her Car Was Stolen: Franklin PD A 54-year-old Vernon resident was arrested last month after she falsely told police her car was stolen, authorities said. On Saturday, Sept. 28, Dawn Flanagan told officers her car was stolen, Franklin police said in a release. Surveillance footage showed Flanagan driving her own vehicle from the area where she claimed it had been stolen with Joseph McGaughran following behind in his vehicle, police said. Man Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop: Franklin Borough Police A 41-year-old Branchville resident was arrested on Saturday, July 6, after he fled a traffic stop in Franklin Borough, authorities said. While officers were initially approaching his vehicle, Shaun Cancelliere drove away and managed to elude law enforcement, Franklin Borough police said in a release. Nearby agencies were notified to be on the lookout for Cancelliere and he was located by the Andover Township Police Department, officers said. Man Who Stole Nearly $500 In Clothing, Merchandise From Walmart Nabbed In Franklin Police arrested man who they say stole nearly $500 of merchandise from a Sussex County Walmart. Gerred Littles-Santiago, 30, of Unionville was caught on surveillance video stealing clothing, multiple cases of Red Bull and other merchandise totaling nearly $500 from Walmart in Franklin, local police said. The thefts occurred on Sept. 22 and Jan. 3, police say. Littles-Santiago was previously charged with DWI and petty larceny in Orange County, N.Y., records show.
