Road Rage Driver Who Ran Down Victim In PA McDonald's ID'd As NJ Man: Authorities
Over a month after 47-year-old Jason Smith of Levittown was run over and killed in the parking lot of a Bristol McDonald's, authorities say they found the driver responsible.
Daniel S. Dietrich, 45, of Palmyra, New Jersey, was arrested Friday, March 10, and charged with homicide, driving on a suspended license, and related counts, said Bucks District Attorney Matthew Weintraub.
Prosecutors say Smith and Dietrich had already been involved in a "driving incident" about a mile away before they both arrived at the 7700 Bristol Pike McDonald's at 4 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Officers who tried to stop a driver for not wearing a seatbelt on Route 46 ended up initiating a foot chase that ended in another jurisdiction as well as numerous additional charges, they said.
Hackettstown Police tried to pull over a car driven by Raul L. Diaz, 57, for failing to wear a seatbelt on Tuesday, June 21, the department said in a release on Wednesday, June 22.

Authorities have identified the 65-year-old man crushed to death by a car in an Essex County driveway early Thursday morning.
Donald Banks was standing in his Pierson Street driveway in Orange when he was hit by Chadane Bailey, 26, sometime around 12:45 a.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, said.
Bailey was pulling in when she hit banks, who was rushed to University Hospital, Stephens said alongside Orange Police Director Todd Warren.

A man and woman from Newark had an illegal handgun with a large capacity magazine as well as ecstasy and Suboxone when they were pulled over for a violation in Hanover, authorities said
Antoine Watson, 31, and Shadeekah Moon, 37, had controlled dangerous substances in plain view when they were pulled over in Hanover Aug. 30, Chief Mark D. Roddy said.
