Hackettstown PD: DWI Sussex County Driver Charged In Route 46 Crash A Sussex County driver had been drinking when he crashed into another vehicle while attempting a left-hand turn in Hackettstown, said authorities who charged him. Scott Caruso, 56 of Sparta, was turning left from Center Street onto Route 46 when he struck a 30-year-old Morris County man headed eastbound in a Toyota around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Hackettstown police said. Police smelled alcohol while talking to Caruso, who was subsequently arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and careless driving. He was released pending a court appearance. No injuries were reported.

The completion of the grocery store, opening Oct. 23, and the construction of a 40,000-square-foot space for tenants mark the first phase of a three-part project.
