Tolls Increase On These 4 Bridges Between NJ, PA For First Time Since 2011 Tolls are going up on four Delaware River Port Authority bridges between New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Sunday, Sept. 1 for the first time since 2011. The increase on the Ben Franklin, Betsy Ross, Commodore Barry, and Walt Whitman bridges went into effect at midnight.  For passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and small trucks, tolls increased from $5 to $6. For recreational vehicles and mobile homes, tolls go up from $.7.50 to $9 per axle. Brace For Higher NJ Bridge Tolls Across Delaware River Drivers who cross any of the eight Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission’s spans between New Jersey and Pennsylvania face two proposed toll increases this year and in 2024, authorities said. The need to hike state bridge tolls is being blamed on lost revenue during the coronavirus pandemic. The proposed increase, announced Monday, would be implemented on April 3, if approved by the board of commissioners at a March 29 meeting. The Hilton Garden Inn, located on the city's waterfront, happily began booking guests to a lavish facility with majestic views, hotel officials said. Guests at the 180-room hotel will enjoy panoramic views of the Delaware River, Ben Franklin Bridge and Philadelphia skyline.
