A Monmouth County corrections officer was arrested after a fight caught on video at an Atlantic City casino's shopping mall, authorities said. Five children and two adults were wounded when their two dogs encountered another on a walk and turned on them in Atlantic City, authorities said. Two of the juveniles were walking their dogs in a fenced-in area of Baltic Avenue when the animals encountered the third dog around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, local police said. A 28-year-old mom who had to be rescued herself after running into the ocean to rescue her children in distress earlier this month is expected to make a full recovery, police in Brigantine said. Man Critical After Setting Himself On Fire In Atlantic City, Police Say
A man who set himself on fire overnight in Atlantic City was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The 24-year-old Somers Point man was found with severe burns by police on the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight, police said. An attendant from the gas station used a fire extinguisher to put the flames out. State authorities released surveillance video from up the street of a bicyclist struck and killed in a crash with an Atlantic City police car. The officer was “responding to a routine call for service in a marked patrol vehicle, with no lights or siren activated” when the crash occurred in the intersection of Arkansas and Arctic avenues around 8:30 p.m. June 18, Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. New Jersey's attorney general released surveillance video Friday of an incident involving a 41-year-old Atlantic County Jail inmate who later died after being taken to a local hospital.
