Facebook and Instagram users reported widespread problems on Friday, June 12, with reports of disruption spiking sharply on Downdetector shortly after 9 a.m. Downdetector showed about 69,000 user reports for Facebook issues around 10 a.m., including a spike of 69,569 reports at 9:39 a.m. Instagram also saw a surge in reports, with more than 1,100 users flagging problems Friday morning, according to Downdetector. Child Found Unresponsive In Philly Home Dies; Special Victims Unit Investigating
A young girl died after she was found unresponsive inside a Philadelphia home Thursday evening, June 11, police said. Officers responded to the 1800 block of East Somerset Street in Kensington after receiving a report of an unresponsive child at approximately 7:07 p.m, according to police. When the Philadelphia Police Department's 24th District officers arrived, they found the child unresponsive, and medics rushed her to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, authorities said. A 54-year-old Queens man was arrested and charged after he repeatedly scammed a senior citizen out of large sums of money in Berkeley Township, authorities announced Thursday, June 11. The woman said while she was on her computer, she had a Microsoft error message “pop-up” take over her screen with a phone number to contact, Berkeley Township police said.. 4-Alarm Fire Destroys New Brunswick Auto Shop, Spreads To Home
A massive blaze destroyed an auto body shop early Friday, June 12 in New Brunswick, News12 New Jersey reports. The blaze broke out at Prestige Auto Service on Easton Avenue at approximately 3 a.m., with flames shooting through the roof. A nearby home was impacted and severely damaged too, according to the East Brunswick Independent Fire Company, which assisted at the scene.
