Road-Raging Driver, 20, Pulls Knife On 73-Year-Old Motorist In Midland Park: Police
A 20-year-old driver was arrested after pulling a knife on a 73-year-old motorist during a road rage incident in Midland Park, authorities said. Police responding to the call stopped a Volkswagen at Mohawk Avenue and North 17th Street in Hawthorne and arrested Anthony Polnarev of Wyckoff around 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28. Polnarev and the alleged victim, also of Wyckoff, apparently both got out of their vehicles five miles up the road, in the area of Sicomac Avenue and Faner Road at the Wyckoff border, responders said. Stacy La Vacca has plenty of reasons to dole anger and frustration out to the world — but she doesn't. She simply continues to care for those around her. UPDATE: The body of a New Milford High School senior was removed from a borough pond hours after what witnesses said was a tragic accident. Clinten Ajit, 18, was apparently doing a good deed when he went into the Hard Castle Pond behind the Dorchester Manor Apartments near the borough athletic fields around 7:15 p.m. Friday, April 22. "Some kids accidentally kicked a soccer ball in the water and [he] said he would get it for them," a responder said after police spoke with witnesses. Wyckoff Native Anthony Luppino Of Little Falls Dies, 27
Anthony P. Luppino of Little Falls died on Feb. 2. He was 27 years old. The Wyckoff native had been working as a website designer, according to his obituary. He attended Ramapo High School and Seminole State College of Florida. Anthony is survived by his parents Pasquale Luppino of Tampa, Florida, and Lisa Luppino (nee Koch) of Rochelle Park; sister Maria Concetta Luppino; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
