A 23-year-old Plainfield man was indicted by a grand jury for murder in the shooting death of a former college football player last August. Maurice Pierce shot Jameer Outsey, of Bridgewater, on North Broad Street and Magnolia Avenue in Elizabeth on Aug. 27, Union County Prosecutor William A. 16-Year-Old Arrested For Stabbing 18-Year-Old In Jersey City: Prosecutors
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 20 and charged with stabbing an 18-year-old in Jersey City last week, prosecutors said. On Friday, Dec. 15 at 8:55 p.m., Jersey City Police responded to a stabbing at Duncan Avenue and Wilmont Street, where they found Naseer Munroe, with a stab wound to the torso, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Munroe was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead after 10 p.m., Suarez said. Repeat Lyndhurst Offender Shoots Acquaintance In Home With Airsoft Gun: Police
A Lyndhurst man who’s had several run-ins with police lately was arrested after he shot an acquaintance with an airsoft gun, authorities said. An eyewitness report of a man brandishing a handgun brought Officers Matthew Dudek, Anthony Giaquinto, and Robert Litterio to a home on Copeland Avenue between Stuyvesant and 10th Street. Police have identified the gunman accused of killing three people in a New Jersey home Monday, Nov. 27. Om Brahmbhatt, 23, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Dilipkumar Brahmbhatt, 72, Yashkumar Brahmbhatt, 38, and Bindu Brahmbhatt, 72, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Good things come to those who wait. A 29-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 8 for robbing a 7-Eleven at gunpoint in Linden in May 2020, authorities said. At 2 a.m. on May 20, Andrew Medeiros entered the 7-Eleven at 2309 E. Edgar Rd., pointed a blank handgun at the cashier and demanded money from the register, Linden police said.
