Police: DWI Driver Plows Into Elmwood Park Garages, Garden Apartments Temporarily Evacuated
A portion of an Elmwood Park garden apartment complex was temporarily evacuated after a vehicle driven by a drunk motorist slammed into a row of garages Friday afternoon.
The 2013 BMW wagon slammed into the garages at the Elmwood Terrace Apartments, causing substantial front-end damage to the vehicle as well as damage to the garages, shortly after 2:30 p.m. Nov. 25, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.
Sean B. Harrow, 49, of Union Township, "provided different accounts as to how the accident occurred and whether he was operating the vehicle or not," the chief said.

A Hunterdon County man was killed after he veered across both sides of Rt. 78 in an SUV that then went up in flames, state police said.
The crash occurred just before 6:05 a.m. in both sides of Rt. 78 near milepost 24.8 in Tewksbury on Friday, Oct. 7, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com.

Beloved Hunterdon County high school student Anthony Joseph ‘AJ’ Zeoli died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 15. He was 16.
Born in Allentown, PA, AJ lived in Sloatsburg, NY, before moving to Union Township about seven years ago, his obituary says.
AJ was an upcoming senior at North Hunterdon Regional High School, where he was known as a class clown who was always able to make his friends laugh.

Man Pleads Guilty In Deadly Hunterdon County Truck Stop Shooting: Prosecutor
A Texas man pleaded guilty to a deadly shooting at a Hunterdon County truck stop, authorities announced.
David L. Rodriguez, 45, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree aggravated manslaughter on Wednesday, June 22, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renee M. Robeson said in a release.
Rodriguez, of Alamo, Texas, shot Ricardo Menezes De Castro multiple times at the Pilot Travel Center truck stop convenience store in Union Township on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, DailyVoice.com reported.
De Castro was taken to the Hunterdon Medical Center and later died.
