The incident occurred on Route 10 in Randolph near Denville, just past the Mount Pleasant Turnpike, and involved a painter’s van, according to Denville Police Capt. Scott Welsch. The van's driver had pulled over after noticing smoke and entered a nearby business to seek help, Welsch said. A passerby spotted the van in flames and called 911. The truck overturned by Exit 13A of the New Jersey Turnpike near Newark Liberty International Airport and Routes 1 and 9 in Elizabeth, according to 511nj.  The left shoulder is blocked and delays are extending three miles from Kearny to Newark, 511nj said. The Freightliner and Toyota passenger car were heading east when the tractor trailer struck the back of the Toyota and overturned near milepost 47.4 at 5 a.m., New Jersey State Police said.
