Two Dead, Box Truck Incinerated In Multi-Vehicle Route 80 Crash, Here's What Happened (Update) 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: A driver and passenger in a box truck were killed and two occupants of a tractor-trailer hospitalized with severe injuries in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on Route 80 in Hackensack, New Jersey State Police confirmed. The box truck was instantly consumed by flames as firefighters reached Exit 66 shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21. "It was a cremation," one responder at the scene said. Update: Tractor-Trailer Tips Over Median, Dumps Trash Across Treacherous Stretch Of Route 17 A tractor-trailer hauling garbage tipped over a median on Route 17 Friday morning at what police and commuters say has become an all-too-frequent site for such crashes near the New York State border. The driver was initially entrapped but climbed out on his own after his northbound rig went over the divider near the Route 202 exit at Mountainside Avenue at 8:43 a.m. Sept. 8, Mahwah Police Chief Timothy O'Hara said. "When is enough enough?" Mahwah Mayor Jim Wysocki asked. It was around 2:30 a.m. Aug. 15 when the Target rig went wrong on northbound Route 287 near mile marker 64. Ejected Driver Run Over, Killed By Tractor Trailer On NJ Turnpike: State Police A driver who was ejected in a crash on the NJ Turnpike died after being struck by a tractor trailer early Sunday, April 24, authorities said. A Toyota Corolla traveling north near milepost 105.9 in Newark was struck by a Honda Accord around 4:15 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The impact caused the Toyota to cross the roadway and strike the right guardrail. As a result of the crash, the driver of the Toyota was ejected.  A tractor trailer traveling north struck the driver.
