A vintage 1947 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar stolen from Music Land earlier this year has been recovered and returned to its owner, bringing a happy ending to one of Bel Air's most talked-about theft cases.
The nearly 80-year-old instrument, valued at approximately $16,000, was stolen from Music Land on Gateway Drive in Bel Air on Monday, Feb. 3, according to the Bel Air Police Department.

A 38-year-old Newark man was arrested and charged with stealing wire from a construction site at the Mount Olive Township Senior Center, authorities announced Friday, June 19.
At 9:48 a.m., on Tuesday, June 9, officers responded to the senior center at 204 Flanders Drakestown Road in Budd Lake for a report of a theft and was met by an electrical contractor who said he was missing copper wire from the construction site, Mount Olive police said.

Livingston Woman Charged With Stealing $17K From East Orange High School
A Livingston woman has been charged with stealing more than $17,000 from a high school fundraising account in Essex County, prosecutors announced Friday, Jan. 16.
Khaliah Johnson, 44, was charged with third-degree theft in connection with pilfering $17,360 from Cicely Tyson High School of Performing Arts in East Orange, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II said.
Johnson was serving as the school’s treasurer and head secretary at the time of the alleged thefts, which occurred between July 5, 2024, and June 16, 2025, Stephens said.

A man is in police custody after police say he choked, tackled, bitten, and robbed a woman described as his "dating partner" during a domestic violence incident in Edgewater last fall.

A 20-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a rollover crash earlier this week on Route 8 while driving a vehicle stolen in New Jersey, police said.
Oliver Cruz-Ortiz, 20, of Bridgeport, lost control of the Infiniti Q50 just after 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, near Exit 12A in Shelton, Connecticut State Police said.
