US Marshals Look To Seize Lodi Driver Charged With Crashing Stolen Car During Route 46 Pursuit
A Lodi man who crashed a stolen car on Route 46 during a police chase will remain in the Bergen County Jail until U.S. Marshals can pick him up.
Samuel Sosa, 24, initially stopped the stolen 2010 Lincoln MKX at the highway on-ramp from Main Street near Chief Fire Equipment & Service around 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, following a hit-and-run on Avenue E, Lodi Police Sgt. Dominic Miller said.
Sosa then hit the gas, however, fleeing onto westbound Route 46, the sergeant said.

Pair Wanted For Using Stolen Car In Newark Shooting: Police
Authorities in Newark are seeking two women in connection with a stolen car used in a September shooting, they said.
The fingerprints of Quanazia Bennett, 21, of Newark, and Kelly Devereaux, 24, of Bloomfield, were recovered from the car used in the Sept. 20 incident at 18th Avenue and Hunterdon Street around midnight, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. A warrant was issued for their arrest on Oct. 6.

Teen Stabbing Suspects Lead Pursuit Across Union County In Stolen Car: Police
Three 16-year-old boys led a police pursuit in a stolen car after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in Linden Friday, Oct. 7, authorities said.
The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. on the 400 block of N. Wood Avenue, Linden police said.
The victim, of Elizabeth, was treated on scene then taken to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, as the others fled, police said.

Elizabeth Man Who Seriously Injured Girl In Stolen Vehicle Crash Nabbed In Fair Lawn Carjacking
An Elizabeth man who was released by a judge after a young girl was seriously injured when he crashed a stolen car was busted for a carjacking in Fair Lawn, authorities said.
Byron L. Hernandez, 18, and Nicholas Greco, 19, of North Bergen, thought they’d hatched a fool-proof scheme to steal the vehicle from an unsuspecting victim, authorities said Tuesday.
It didn’t work.
Responding to report of a carjacking, Fair Lawn police found the 21-year-old owner and his passenger, Greco, at Memorial Park shortly before 1:30 a.m. last Friday, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
