Irvington Man Gunned Down In Newark, Another Wounded A 40-year-old Irvington man was shot and killed in Newark Monday night, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said. Both men were shot on Maple Avenue around 7 p.m. One man was hit in the leg and is in stable condition, authorities said. His name has been withheld. Murad Harris, the other victim, was rushed to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.
