Know Anything? Trio Of Women Carjack Food Deliver Driver In Newark, Police Say Police are seeking the public’s help locating a vehicle that was carjacked by three women in Newark. A green 2008 Honda Accord with a temporary Texas license plate was carjacked by three women as the driver was delivering food at Schley Street near Nye Avenue around 9 p.m. Friday, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. The vehicle, similar to the one pictured above, was last seen heading southbound on Schley Street towards Lyons Avenue, O’Hara said. Each of the three suspects is described as between 5 feet 3 and 5 feet 5 inches tall with a dark complexion, authorities said. A…

10-Year-Old Hospitalized In Hit-Run Newark Motorcycle Crash A girl was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash Friday evening in Newark, police said. The 10-year-old girl was struck near Chancellor Avenue and Schley Street around 6:45 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said. The girl was rushed to University Hospital for treatment. Unconfirmed reports say she suffered a broken leg. The motorcyclist did not remain at the scene. The incident remained under investigation.

Suspect Tries, Fails, To Get Newark Officer's Gun: Police A man suspected of drug dealing assaulted a Newark police officer Friday morning and is now at large, a spokesman for the department said in a statement.  The uniformed officer was investigating reports of drug dealing on Schley Street when he spotted a man matching a description in the 300 block.
