Six Flags Great Adventure is closing down the world's tallest roller coaster after two decades of thrills, officials said. The Jackson Township amusement park's Kingda Ka roller coaster will be retired, Six Flags said in a news release on Thursday, Nov. 14. Plans are in the works to reopen El Toro, the popular wooden roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure, nearly 10 months after a malfunction, officials confirmed. Fourteen riders were injured during a ride malfunction last August.
