Justin Veras was heading north in a Toyota Camry when he struck the back of a disabled Kenworth tractor-trailer in the right lane near milepost 121.4 in Fort Lee around 9:10 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. State Of Emergency Declared As Flooding Worsens In NJ Town A New Jersey town where flooding has apparently worsened since the weekend storm has declared a State of Emergency. Wayne Township residents in areas that are prone to flooding were urged to self-evacuate on Monday, Dec. 18. As of Tuesday, Dec. 19, the area from the Passaic River at Little Falls "entered major flood stage" and was only expected to rise until cresting this evening, township officials said.
