Ridgefield Park Officer Steven Fernandez Dies In Snowmobile Accident, Family Says The Ridgefield Park Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its own. Officer Steven Fernandez died in a snowmobile accident in Vermont over the weekend, his family announced on Facebook. A Ridgefield Park native, Fernandez joined the police department in 2015, having also volunteered with the ambulance corps and with the village fire department. In 2023, Fernandez was appointed the department's LGBTQ+ liaison. Police called to the garden apartments along Teaneck Road around 7:25 p.m. and found the girl with a gunshot wound to her back, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Update: Lodi Man Charged With Murdering Cresskill Mom, Daughter Charged With Helping Dump Body A 19-year-old Lodi man was charged Monday with killing a Cresskill woman whose 14-year-old daughter assisted in a bungled attempt to dispose of the body, authorities said. Nicolas Coirazza killed Divna Rosasco, 51, at her home in Cresskill and then got the girl to help him try to dump the body in Overpeck Creek in Teaneck, authorities said.
