A loaded gun was recovered from a stolen Mercedes Benz following a high-speed pursuit and subsequent crash in which a 19-year-old man and four juveniles were charged, police in Morris County said. Hanover police officer Brian Morrisroe was on patrol when he saw a Mercedes with heavy window tints and an expired inspection sticker speeding on Wednesday, June 19, Hanover Police Chief Mike Loock said. Serious Crash Shuts Down Route 10 In Morris County
UPDATE: The roadway was reopened around 1:30 p.m., police said. --------------------------- A serious crash shut down Route 10 in Morris County Monday afternoon, authorities said. The crash occurred near the Ridgedale Avenue intersection in Hanover, local police confirmed in a social media post shortly after 12:30 p.m. A photo from the accident scene shows one vehicle overturned and a second completely upside-down. Drivers were asked to avoid the area as the investigation is conducted.

A Newark man who was caught stealing a vacuum from Walmart in Morris County threatened to kill the store’s loss prevention officer, authorities charged. A security officer at Walmart in Hanover saw Tyrese Gregory, 20, trying to leave the store without paying for a vacuum on Friday, July 10, Hanover Police Chief Mark D. Roddy said. When the store officer approached Gregory, he threatened to kill him for contacting the police -- then fled, Roddy said. Hanover PD: Robe-Clad Man Without Mask Coughs, Sneezes On QuickChek Merchandise
A South Plainfield man was wearing nothing but a robe when he coughed and sneezed on items at a Hanover convenience store, authorities charged. Raymond Bukowski, 55, was wearing a robe and attempting to use the self check-out register when police arrived at the QuickChek on Ridgedale Avenue June 20, Hanover police said in a release. After questioning, Bukowski was arrested and charged with lewdness and disorderly conduct. He was released pending a court appearance.
