Police have arrested and charged a New York man in the June murder of a popular Bayonne, NJ sneaker reseller who went by the name, Upscale Cracc, in Lower Manhattan.
Jayquan Straker, age 35, of Poughkeepsie, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon in the Tuesday, June 25 killing of Javier Osorio-Mejia, in SoHo, the NYPD announced.

Two New York State men who’d apparently driven well over an hour to Paterson in an unregistered, uninsured car to buy drugs were charged with heroin and crack possession following a Fair Lawn traffic stop, authorities said.
Officer Brad Pindyck stopped the two on Loretto Avenue at Lincoln Avenue after spotting the driver texting, Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
It turned out the driver, Christopher Cardarello, 38, of Highland, NY, had neither a valid registration nor insurance, the sergeant said.

An East Orange General Hospital emergency room doctor who twice survived cancer died Tuesday -- a week after developing symptoms of coronavirus.
Dr. Frank Gabrin, 60, woke up with chest pain and other symptoms March 24, his husband, Arnold Vargas said.
On March 31, Gabrin woke up saying he couldn't breathe, and died later that day.
Gabrin, who stayed home from work last Thursday, was not tested for coronavirus but he and his husband both were certain he contracted the virus since he'd been treating patients with similar symptoms, several news outlets say.

UPDATE: A Dutchess County, NY man who was killed when he was struck by two vehicles on Route 4 in Paramus deliberately walked into traffic, witnesses said.
One witness was getting gas at the BP station next to the McDonald's on the highway's westbound side moments before 9 p.m. Saturday.
