A Hackensack man was drunk when his car knocked down a utility pole at a busy Hasbrouck Heights intersection, authorities said. The 2001 Audi Quattro driven by Dmitriy Sidorenko, 50, went off the road on Boulevard at the Passaic Avenue Circle shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday. A Wayne man wanted for an attempted kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon at the Delaware Water Gap national park was captured in Warren County, authorities said. An off-duty firefighter called police early Monday evening while following a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Jeffrey A. Former High School Athlete Charged With DWI After River Vale Crash
A multi-sport athlete from Rockland was drunk when his car jumped a curb, toppled a street sign and slammed into a telephone pole in River Vale, authorities said. Raymond Amato, 22, of Pearl River was behind the wheel of a speeding car on Rivervale Road when an officer pulled behind him shortly before 3 a.m. May 26, police said. DWI Motorist Driving On Rim Fights With West Milford Police, Authorities Charge
A drunken motorist driving on a rim fought with West Milford police who took him into custody, authorities said. Officers Anthony Frassa and Jill Brickman had a pair of drug suspects stopped when they spotted the disabled car heading north, sparks flying, on Clinton Road near Route 23. “After getting the vehicle to stop, [Brickman] noticed vomit outside the driver’s door,” according to a police report.
