Driver Flees From Crash That Killed Passenger On Route 9: Prosecutor
A 47-year-old North Plainfield man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Woodbridge on Saturday, Oct. 25 in which the driver had fled from, authorities said. Mario Ortiz Bonilla was found dead in the front passenger's seat of the 2017 Kia Sportage on Route 9 and Green Street in Woodbridge just after 9:05 a.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge PD Director Robert Hubner said. New Jersey health officials are reporting an additional six cases of West Nile Virus including two deaths, and two presumptive viremic blood donor (PVD) cases in the state. The six new WNV cases are residents of Bergen, Camden, Cumberland, Hudson, Mercer, and Middlesex counties (one 50+, two 60+, one 70+, two 80+). The New Jersey Department of Health has confirmed the state’s first human cases of the West Nile Virus, much earlier than in prior seasons.
