A pedestrian was hospitalized with a head injury after being struck by an SUV just off Route 17 near MetLife Stadium, authorities said. A 42-year-old Hawthorne driver was making a left off the northbound highway onto Paterson Plank Road when her 2020 Chevy Equinox hit the 29-year-old man shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, East Rutherford Police Chief Dennis Rivelli said. A man walking from MetLife Stadium on Route 3 after the Giants-Cowboys Monday Night Football game was clocked in the head by the mirror of a rental truck. A 56-year-old woman and her 31-year-old daughter were found dead Monday, June 20, in the elder woman's East Rutherford home down the block from the borough police station. A man said to have been the former spouse of the property owner apparently found the bodies of Nancy Marie Jocks and her daughter, Alexis O'Boyle of Woodland Park, in the rented unit off southbound Route 17 just past Route 120, barely two miles from MetLife Stadium.
