Trenton Girl, 9, Was Reaching For Mom After Being Struck By Stray Bullet: Report
SeQuoya Bacon-Jones was not crying when her mom found her bleeding on the sidewalk last week. The 9-year-old Trenton girl was laying on the ground, moaning, reaching out for her, Shea Bacon-Jones tells CBS Philly. SeQuoya was playing at the Kingsbury Square courtyard around 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, when she was struck by a stray bullet, authorities previously said in a press release. Trenton Arsonist Charged In Deadly Molotov Cocktail Christmas Fire
A Trenton man was charged with murder and arson in the Molotov cocktail fire that killed two people on Christmas morning, authorities announced. Ronal Ordonez-Lima, 28, is accused of setting fire to the front porch of 221 Rusling St. in Trenton shortly before 3:30 a.m., Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said Monday. Six occupants were in the home during the fire, which spread to five other houses and several adjacent vehicles, Onofri said. Nearly all of the protests in New Jersey this weekend over the death of George Floyd were peaceful -- with authorities joining the demonstrators to help underscore their message, although were damaging enough to steal the spotlight.
